Lyudmila Agrich at Mirada Fine Art, near Denver, Colorado

Lyudmila Agrich at Mirada Fine Art, Walk in the Rain, Oil on Canvas, 24" x 24"

We are absolutely thrilled to introduce our newest artist to Mirada Fine Art, Lyudmila Agrich.  Lyudmila was born in Russia, and spent much of her childhood in the beautiful city of Odessa by the Black Sea.  She spent several years in musical school and the school of fine arts for children, and eventually received a bachelor degree in Architecture and Fine Arts. After practicing architecture for a few years in the Ukraine, she moved to the United States, and in 2001 decided that her true calling was as a full-time artist.

Lyudmila replaced her paintbrush with a palette knife in order to create bolder, brighter images. Her style is expressionistic impressionism, and her primary focus is to capture intimate moments in ordinary life.  No matter what she is painting, whether it be a landscape or a small cafe, she wants her paintings to speak in the language of human feelings.

Definitely come by Mirada Fine Art to see Lyudmila's work in person...the photos don't do them justice.  The texture and movement will amaze you!

Andrew Baird Introduces 'Beyond the Lines' at Mirada Fine Art

Andrew Baird at Mirada Fine Art: Patrons savor Mr. Bairds's Latest Creations
We had an amazing opening reception for Andrew Baird's 'Beyond the Lines' exhibition on Friday night, May 11th.  It's our first exhibition of the season, and Mirada was absolutely packed with fans of Andrew's work.  In 2011, 5280 Magazine declared Andrew Baird the 'best artist in the state of Colorado' and it was easy to find patrons on Friday night who agreed with this declaration.  Using a simple 'stir stick,' Andrew drips paint onto a canvas on the floor - no brushes are ever used.  Allowing layers to dry between sessions, Andrew revisits a painting each day to add another two or three colors.  From a seemingly chaotic painting, a striking work of art appears, masterfully created with vibrant color combinations of light and dark values.  This exhibition will be on display through June 10th...don't miss it!

Andrew Baird at Mirada Fine Art
In 2011, the editors of 5280 magazine declared Andrew Baird the best artist in the state of Colorado. After examining his remarkable work, it is easy to understand why. At first glance, Mr. Baird's paintings seem to resemble the work of Jackson Pollock, but when the linear portraits begin to appear, the striking differences become clear. Using a simple 'stir stick,' Baird drips paint onto a canvas on the floor - no brushes are ever used. The eventual outcome is truly spectacular: remarkable portraits. landscapes, and American icons...all in Mr. Baird's one-of-a-kind style. Vibrant color combinations allow the subject to intriguingly appear and disappear, actively engaging the viewer.
