Bonnie Teitelbaum at Mirada Fine Art: Internal Conversations

We're really excited that next Friday night, June 17th, we'll have Bonnie Teitelbaum at Mirada Fine Art for the preview of her new exhibition, 'Internal Conversations.'  This reception will be from 6-9pm....so mark your calendar!

Bonnie Teitelbaum at Mirada Fine Art
We were absolutely thrilled when Western Art & Architecture magazine recognized artist Bonnie Teitelbaum as "One to Watch" in 2010.   She was also called 'a visionary artist' that same year in the book Acrylic Innovation. It only reinforced what Bonnie's collectors from around the globe already knew: her remarkable paintings are entirely enticing.

Bonnie hopes "Internal Conversations" will persuade viewers to do just that - step inside the paintings' sublime colors and textures and evoke personal reflection.  Bonnie is a master at using bold colors in a delicate manner.  She trusts her work will inspire the same peace in others that it does within her.  The images reflect her love of nature, and bring to mind personal feelings, friends, places and times.

Primarily using acrylic paint, Bonnie adds crackle pastes and mouldings to provide textural interest and depth.  The many layers of paint and pours of clear gel not only produce shimmering color, but also provide a path for light to travel through.  The effect is much like looking into a tidal pool.

Bonnie Teitelbaum has worked as a graphic artist, product designer and artistic welder, and has been a fine arts painter for over 25 years.  She grew up in an Air Force family and lived throughout the United States, as well as in Japan, Germany and the Philippines.  She currently resides in Santa Fe, NM. Although she has been recognized throughout the world, the only place her pieces can be viewed in Colorado is at Mirada Fine Art Gallery.

Don't miss this truly remarkable exhibition!

Arturo Mallmann at Mirada Fine Art

We have a number of spectacular pieces by Argentinian-born artist Arturo Mallmann.  To be perfectly honest, we don't post that much about Arturo's work here or on our Facebook page, and the reason is simply because his work is really diminished when you see it on a computer.

Arturo Mallmann at Mirada Fine Art, White Canvas, Acrylic & Resin on Wood, 14" x 12

Born in 1953 in Montevideo, Uruguay, Arturo spent most of his childhood and early adulthood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His unparalleled mixed-media creations draw from his life experiences in Latin America. Utilizing a process consisting of alternating layers of varnish and sanding, Mallmann is able to create the illusion of depth from which his figures emerge. This primary imagery found in Mallmann’s work evokes the ultimate existential expression of the human condition. Mr. Mallmann moved to the United States in 1988 and currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.

We hope you'll come in and see Arturo's work in person...it will truly astound you.  The depth of his work is truly unparalleled.

Mark your calendars as well.  Arturo is part of a two-person exhibition later this summer with Russian-born artist, Svetlana Shalygina.  Their exhibition is titled '8354 Miles' and runs from September 3 - 25th.  The artist reception will be on Friday night, September 2nd from 6-9 pm.

Deladier Almeida at Mirada Fine Art: Preparing for a remarkable exhibition!

Deladier Almeiada at Mirada Fine Art, only minutes from Denver, CO.
Recently named ‘One to Watch’ by Fine Art Connoisseur magazine, Mirada Fine Art is absolutely thrilled to represent the Brazilian artist Deladier Almeida,  Although Deladier is a remarkable artist and paints a wide variety of subjects, his most famous works are his 'aerial landscapes.'  His highly textured geometric oil paintings force the viewer to look at their world from a completely different perspective.

Deladier Almeida at Mirada Fine Art, Trumpestries, Original Oil on Linen, 15" x 30"

At the age of 5, Deladier saw a film that documented Leonardo da Vinci’s process of painting the Mona Lisa. “I understood then and there the magic of transforming a flat surface to create a three-dimensional image. I immediately began drawing my family, and became notorious for demanding that my relatives sit for me.” Gazing into any of Deladier’s paintings today, it is apparent that lesson was deeply ingrained.

Living in Northern California since 1985, Deladier earned his BFA in Studio Art at UC Davis, studying under Wayne Thiebaud and Roland Petersen. Although Deladier paints a broad array of subjects, he is most famous for his richly textured oil landscapes that are painted from an aerial perspective. “When I came to the U.S., it was my first time in an airplane. I was looking out the window and seeing all the richness of that point of view. People were just sitting there missing the show and I wanted to stand up and yell, ‘Look, look out the window, it’s fabulous!”

Mirada Fine Art is proud to currently hang Deladier's remarkable work on our gallery walls and we are absolutely thrilled about Deladier's upcoming solo exhibition here in the Fall. This upcoming month Deladier is coming to Colorado for the first time in his life and we will be getting him up on a helicopter to survey the Colorado Rockies from his famous 'aerial perspective.' He will be taking photographs and immersing himself in our remarkable landscape. Over the following months we will be creating a brand new exhibition based on this experience. Deladier's exhibition, 'Geometry of the Rockies,' will debut on October 14th. Don't wait until then - come to Mirada Fine Art right now and you can see current works by Deladier hanging on our walls.

You can also see Deladier in Southwest Art magazine next month - he will be the cover artist in their July 2011 edition.

Bear Tracks to Christian Dore's 'Lush Life' Exhibition at Mirada Fine Art

We think word has spread that some of Christian Dore's new exhibition has some 'Bear Themes,' and some of our neighbors have been checking it out at night.

Bear tracks leading to Mirada Fine Art.

When we opened up the gallery this morning, these tracks were all around the gallery.  Usually you don't see bear tracks in snow, but of course it does not usually snow in mid-May like it did for the last couple of days.

Christian Dore, Expectation, Acrylic/Mixed Median on Canvas, 30" x 40"

We think the bears had heard the news about Christian Dore's new exhibition, 'Lush Life.'  This painting,  'Expectation,' seems particularly ironic this morning.  This piece is a great example of Christian's unique perspective.  The bear in the painting is moving into un-chartered territory - coming out into the snow when he should still be hibernating. The painting is an original acrylic/mixed media on canvas and measures 30" x 40".

Not a small bear!
Christian's exhibition runs through May 29th.  If you are like our furry neighbors, you'll want to check it out!
